Code of Conduct - EthosGov
PLACEHOLDER: This is a drafting placeholder. Requires review by commercial counsel and internal HR/People review before publication.
Last updated: 18 April 2026
EthosGov is built by and for people who take the responsibility of public education seriously. This Code applies to our team, our contractors, our customers, our partners, and anyone interacting with the platform or the company.
1. Principles
Respect the work. Public school leaders are carrying a real load. We treat their time, their data and their trust with the care the role deserves.
Reduce friction, measurably. Every decision about the product, the sales process and the support experience is tested against whether it reduces load on the people using EthosGov.
Honesty ahead of advantage. We tell the truth about what the product can do, what it cannot do, and what it is not yet. We do not oversell.
Respect for community. Public schools serve diverse communities. We hold ourselves to behaviour that is inclusive, safe, and free from harassment.
2. Expected Behaviour
- Communicate respectfully across all channels (in product, on calls, in meetings, in chat, in email).
- Handle Customer Data with the care set out in the Privacy Policy and the ISMS Policy.
- Disclose conflicts of interest.
- Escalate concerns promptly and constructively.
- Support colleagues, especially in moments where the customer's pressure is high.
3. Unacceptable Behaviour
- Harassment, discrimination, or abuse of any kind, in person or online.
- Misuse of Customer Data.
- Misrepresentation of product capability, credentials, or commercial terms.
- Bypassing security controls.
- Retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith.
4. Reporting Concerns
Concerns can be raised to conduct@ethosgov.io or directly to a member of leadership. Reports are handled confidentially to the extent possible.
5. Consequences
Breaches of this Code may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment, contract or access to the platform, referral to regulators, or legal action.
6. Changes
Material changes will be communicated internally and published here.
